DESIGNER NOTES

The goal was not simply to create a cost-effective aluminium mast, but to preserve as much of the UNION system’s performance and riding feel as possible. Particular focus went into the mast-to-fuselage interface, reducing frontal area while producing a stiffer and more efficient structure.

The refined profile balances early lift, glide and top-end speed. Combined with the stiffness of the 18 mm 6061 aluminium construction, it gives riders clean water flow, precise feedback and a simple route into the wider UNION ecosystem.
