Cabrinha Quest Downwind Foil Board - 2027

NEW 2027
SKU: K7FBQUEST060XXX
Sale price£1,470.00

DOWNWIND / PARAWING / WINGFOILING

SIZES: 65L / 75L / 85L / 95L / 105L / 112L

The Cabrinha Quest Downwind Foil Board 2027 bridges parawinging and downwind foiling in one highly efficient platform. Redesigned around an all-new tail, optimised rocker and refined hull, the Quest accelerates onto foil with less effort, tracks cleanly through the water and remains composed across conditions ranging from small bumps to larger wind swell.

The ultra-efficient hull and carefully distributed volume create paddle speed, glide and buoyancy without unnecessary swing weight. A new step-and-release tail helps the board rock up for parawing starts when there is no wave energy to assist, while its angled chines allow water to release cleanly during higher-speed touchdowns rather than grabbing and slowing the board. A wider tail block and increased rocker add stability and control in real-world conditions.

Six sizes now span 65 to 112 litres. The compact 6'0, 6'4 and 6'8 models bring the same Quest concept into dedicated parawing territory, while the 7'0, 7'6 and 8'0 retain the length and glide needed for downwind paddling and lighter conditions. Across the range, optimised foil placement keeps the board balanced once flying.

Apex Construction uses a Pro Carbon layup for a responsive connection to the foil, complemented by a full custom high-grip EVA deck pad. Whether you are paddling into offshore bumps, launching with a parawing or looking for one board that can cross between both disciplines, the 2027 Quest delivers early release, efficient glide and the confidence to explore further.

Cabrinha Quest Downwind Foil Board - 2027 Sale price£1,470.00

Description

The Cabrinha Quest Downwind Foil Board 2027 brings parawinging and downwind foiling together in one highly efficient platform. An all-new step-and-release tail, optimised rocker and refined hull help the board accelerate onto foil sooner, track cleanly and recover smoothly from touchdowns.

Available from 6'0/65L to 8'0/112L, the range covers compact parawing-focused boards through to longer downwind shapes. Apex Pro Carbon construction, optimised volume flow and carefully positioned foil tracks create a responsive board with the glide, stability and balance needed to explore further.

WHY YOU'LL LOVE IT

  • Earlier foil release from the efficient hull and step-and-release tail
  • Two disciplines, one platform for parawinging and downwind foiling
  • Clean tracking and glide for building paddle or parawing speed
  • More forgiving touchdowns from angled tail chines that release water cleanly
  • Six sizes covering compact 65L parawing boards to a 112L downwind shape
  • Responsive Pro Carbon construction for a direct connection to the foil

WHO IS IT FOR?

The Quest is designed for riders who want a dedicated downwind board for paddle or parawing use, and for riders seeking a versatile parawing freeride platform. Choose it if efficient take-off, clean tracking and the ability to cover conditions from small bumps to larger wind swell matter more than the compact feel of a conventional wing board.

PERFORMANCE HIGHLIGHTS

  • Maximum lift factor from the long, efficient waterline and early-release tail
  • Fast acceleration for paddle and parawing starts
  • Excellent tracking while building speed before take-off
  • Stable platform from refined volume distribution and the wider tail block
  • Reduced touchdown drag from clean tail-chine water release
  • Balanced foil flight through optimised foil placement and swing weight

KEY FEATURES

Ultra-Efficient Hull — The long, narrow hull builds speed with minimal resistance, providing effortless glide, strong paddle speed and clean tracking through bumps.

Step-and-Release Tail — The all-new tail helps the board rock up for parawing starts and releases cleanly as speed builds, allowing earlier transition onto foil.

Touchdown-Release Chines — Angled tail surfaces allow water to separate more easily during higher-speed touchdowns, reducing grab and helping the board recover.

Optimised Rocker and Wider Tail Block — Increased rocker and a broader tail platform improve stability, control and confidence in real-world parawing and downwind conditions.

Optimised Volume Flow — Carefully distributed buoyancy supports stable starts while keeping swing weight under control once the board is flying.

Apex Pro Carbon Construction — The premium carbon layup combines stiffness and response for precise energy transfer between rider, board and foil.

Full Custom EVA Deck Pad — The high-grip pad provides secure footing and comfortable control during paddling, starts, touchdowns and sustained foil flight.

DESIGNER NOTES

The updated Quest was developed to bridge parawinging and downwinding without compromising either discipline. Inspired by outrigger canoes and refined from the Swift platform, its efficient hull tracks cleanly and builds the speed needed for early lift.

A wider tail block and increased rocker add stability and control, while optimised foil placement, buoyancy and swing weight keep the board balanced underfoot. The result is a do-it-all platform for riders paddling into glide, chasing bumps or launching with a parawing.

QUEST 2027 VS SWIFT VS QUEST 2026

The Quest 2027 is the crossover downwind and parawing board, with more length for a given volume than the Swift. Its new tail improves parawing release and touchdown recovery, while the expanded size range introduces compact dedicated parawing options.

  • Quest 2027 — choose it for light-wind parawinging, downwind paddling, glide and the widest size choice
  • Swift — choose it for higher-wind wingfoiling and a shorter, more compact ride
  • Quest 2026 — the previous three-size downwind platform; the 2027 model adds the new release tail and 65L–85L sizes

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to help you choose the right Cabrinha Quest Downwind Foil Board 2027.

What is the Cabrinha Quest Downwind Foil Board 2027?

The Quest is a highly efficient foil board designed to bridge parawinging and downwind foiling. Its refined hull, optimised volume distribution and step-and-release tail are designed for early launch, clean tracking and confident control.

What sizes are available?

The 2027 Quest is available in 6'0 65L, 6'4 75L, 6'8 85L, 7'0 95L, 7'6 105L and 8'0 112L sizes.

What changed from the previous Quest?

The most noticeable update is the new tail. Its chine angles help the board rock up for parawing starts and release water more cleanly during touchdowns. The 2027 range also adds smaller 65L, 75L and 85L options.

Is the Quest designed for parawinging?

Yes. The range includes smaller parawing-focused sizes, while the efficient hull, step-and-release tail and balanced volume distribution help riders accelerate onto foil with minimal effort.

Can the Quest be used for downwind foiling?

Yes. It has a true downwind outline designed for paddle speed, clean tracking, efficient lift and linking bumps over longer runs.

How does the Quest compare with the Cabrinha Swift?

The Quest is longer for a given volume and prioritises glide, early release, light-wind parawinging and downwind riding. The Swift is the better choice for higher-wind wingfoiling and riders wanting a shorter platform.

What construction does the 2027 Quest use?

The Quest uses Cabrinha Apex Construction with a Pro Carbon layup, together with a full custom high-grip EVA deck pad.

Is the Quest suitable for touchdowns?

The angled step-and-release tail is designed to let water release more easily during higher-speed touchdowns, reducing the tendency to grab and stick.

Which Quest size should I choose?

Size depends on rider weight, skill, foil choice, local conditions and whether parawinging or downwind paddling is the priority. Contact Kite Wing & Foil for a tailored recommendation.

What is included with the Quest 2027?

The supplied 2027 sales sheet confirms the board's construction and deck pad but does not list included foil hardware or accessories. Confirm the final package contents before purchase.
