FAQ – Cabrinha XCal Wood Kiteboard (2026)
Quick answers to help you choose the right size and understand the ride feel.
What sizes are available?
The XCal Wood (2026) is available in 135×41, 138×42, and 141×43.
What riding style is this board best for?
It’s tuned for freeride + freestyle progression with strong edge control, predictable pop, and a shape that stays composed in a wide range of conditions.
Is the wood core better than carbon?
Wood typically feels smoother and more dampened with natural flex (nice in chop). Carbon is usually stiffer and more reactive/explosive, but can feel firmer in rough water. Neither is “better” — it’s ride feel.
Is this board good for beginners?
It suits progressing riders well thanks to its grip and predictable control. If you’re a total beginner, a softer, more entry-focused freeride board can feel easier for the first few sessions.
What’s included with the board?
Included: 4× 40mm fins, 4× washers, 10× M6×16mm screws, and a grab handle.
