DESIGN PROFILE
A high-quality downwind board requires a perfect balance of lightweight construction and stiffness for direct response. We've committed to excellence by building the Downwind S-TEC exclusively in our top-tier S-TEC construction. The board features a precisely CNC-cut core wrapped in a full PVC sandwich with lightweight Biax carbon. An additional UNI-directional Carbon patch spans the length of the standing area and mirrors the bottom, reinforcing the foil. Our advanced lamination process ensures a pre-preg resin-to-fiber ratio, resulting in an ultra-lightweight Triax carbon PVC sandwich shell, setting a new standard in composite board construction.
To further reduce weight, we've opted for a brushed-off topcoat over the carbon. The nose and tail feature bright, fluorescent colors for enhanced visibility and safety on the water.ALL-NEW FOIL TRACK SYSTEM!
Our redesigned tracks simplify foil-to-board assembly. With large openings, you can drop the plate nuts into the track while mounted on the foil, slide them into position, and tighten the screws. Removing the foil is just as easy—loosen the screws and slide the foil backward and upward.
We avoided adding extra openings to the tracks, preserving their structural integrity. All boards with the new tracks come with a standard set of four plate nuts, offering a perfect fit, excellent load distribution, and optimal thread engagement.
The mirrored foil positioning scale between the tracks is echoed in the design of the deck EVA pad, providing a clear reference for foil placement relative to your back foot. The EVA pad features a fine corduroy pattern for added comfort.
