VERSATILITY AT ITS BEST

SIZES: 105L / 120L / 135L

The JP Australia M-Winger PRO is JP’s most versatile light-wind wing board - a mid-length concept that blends the glide of a downwind board with the agility of a compact freeride shape. Designed for early take-offs, efficient pumping and smooth glide, it unlocks sessions in marginal conditions while remaining playful and controlled once flying.

By combining elements of the Downwind model and the X-Winger, the M-Winger delivers fast acceleration, balanced stability and responsive carving. The extended length improves glide and paddle speed, while the refined tail design reduces drag and helps generate lift with less effort.

Performance Highlights

  • Early lift and efficient glide in light wind
  • Mid-length outline for balance between speed and manoeuvrability
  • Smooth, forgiving touchdowns at higher speeds
  • Direct board feel with concave standing area
  • Cross-over capability: winging and SUP downwind foiling

Who It’s For

  • Riders who want to maximise light-wind sessions
  • Intermediate to advanced foilers looking for glide without sacrificing agility
  • Wingers curious about downwind crossover performance
  • Anyone wanting one board to cover freeride and marginal conditions

Description

JP Australia M-Winger PRO: Mid-Length Light Wind Performance

The M-Winger PRO is JP’s most efficient all-round light wind wing board. Designed as a true mid-length crossover, it blends the glide and acceleration of a downwind concept with the manoeuvrability and agility of the compact X-Winger.

The result is earlier take-offs, smooth glide and controlled touchdowns, making it ideal for marginal wind days while remaining playful once flying.

Performance Highlights

  • Early lift & efficient glide – narrow outline and added length generate speed fast
  • Mid-length versatility – crossover between winging and downwind SUP foiling
  • Smooth touchdowns – rounded hull transitions into flat bottom underfoot
  • Unique tail design – reduces drag and enhances pumping efficiency
  • Direct board feel – slightly concave standing area improves connection

Wind Range Guidance

Boards don’t have fixed wind ranges like wings, but the M-Winger’s mid-length glide and efficient take-off shape make it noticeably easier to get flying when you’re underpowered.

Wind (knots) What it feels like Why the M-Winger helps Setup tip
10–14 Marginal / “work for it” wind Extra length + narrow outline build speed and glide for earlier lift Run a larger front wing / slightly forward mast position for easy take-off
14–20 Everyday freeride Stable platform with efficient acceleration; smooth touchdowns when practising jibes Dial mast position to balance glide vs turning; straps optional
20–28 Powered conditions Still controllable, but you may prefer a shorter board for maximum agility Consider a smaller foil / move mast slightly back for stability at speed

Quick rule: If you’re often underpowered and want to maximise water time, the M-Winger is the “make it happen” option. If you want the absolute most glide for downwind-style efficiency, consider a dedicated downwind board.

Design Details

Design Profile

The M-Winger integrates the best elements of JP’s Downwind board and the compact X-Winger. Its extended length and streamlined outline improve paddle speed and glide, helping you build surface speed quickly for marginal take-offs.

The rounded hull at the front transitions smoothly into a flat section beneath your feet, creating stability during acceleration and delivering forgiving recoveries. The refined tail shape enhances lift and improves pumping efficiency.

All-New Foil Track System

The redesigned foil tracks feature larger openings for quicker assembly. Drop the plate nuts in while attached to the foil, slide into position, and tighten. Removal is equally simple.

Structural integrity remains uncompromised, and each board includes four precision-engineered plate nuts for secure load distribution. The mirrored foil positioning scale on the EVA deck pad allows accurate setup relative to your back foot.

Features

  • Winging fun across a wide range of conditions
  • Cross-over between winging and downwind SUP foiling
  • Blend of manoeuvrability, agility, stability and glide
  • Three foot-strap inserts for control and safety
  • Long hole plugs for fine stance tuning
Teamrider Quote
Riccardo Zorzi: “Absolutely stoked about this mid-length concept! It offers fast and easy take-offs in marginal conditions, thanks to its rounded nose, flat bottom section and redesigned tail that takes performance to the next level.”

FAQ

Is the M-Winger only for light wind?
No — while it excels in marginal wind, its mid-length design makes it stable and efficient across a wide range of freeride conditions.
How does it compare to the Downwind model?
The M-Winger keeps more agility and manoeuvrability than a pure downwind board, while still delivering improved glide compared to compact freeride shapes.
Is it suitable for progressing riders?
Yes — intermediate riders looking to expand into light wind or crossover performance will benefit from the added length and stability.
