Sale price£1,104.00 Regular price£1,699.00

THE COMPACT RACE & LIGHTWIND WING BOARD!

SIZES: 65L / 80L / 95L

The JP Australia R-Winger PRO is JP’s dedicated race / speed / light-wind efficiency wing board - designed to generate ground speed fast for quick take-offs, hold higher top speed, and recover from touchdowns with minimal drag. The long, narrow outline and extensive tail cut-outs work together to reduce wetted surface and release instantly, helping you fly with smaller foils and stay efficient through lulls.

Built in JP’s high-end PRO construction, the R-Winger is all about clean water release and acceleration: a fully sharp tuck line for instant lift-off, smooth scoop rocker for speed, and a slightly raised tail rocker so you can push harder on the foil for better upwind angle and faster pace. It’s a serious performance tool - whether you’re racing, chasing personal speed runs, or simply trying to make the lightest wind sessions happen.

Performance Highlights

  • Fast acceleration & instant release for early take-offs
  • High top speed with reduced drag in flight
  • Touchdown recovery enhanced by tail cut-outs and efficient rocker
  • Race-ready strap options for locked-in control
  • Long track boxes + foil scale for precise tuning

Who It’s For

  • Riders who want a race-style wing board with speed and efficiency
  • Intermediate–advanced wingers chasing early lift with smaller foils
  • Light-wind riders who prioritise ground speed and glide
  • Anyone who wants to go faster, higher upwind, and more efficient than on a wider freeride board

JP R-Winger PRO Wing Foil Board - 2024 Sale price£1,104.00 Regular price£1,699.00

Description

JP Australia R-Winger PRO: Race Speed & Light-Wind Efficiency

The JP Australia R-Winger PRO is JP’s modern race-style wing board, engineered to generate ground speed for quick take-offs and even quicker touchdown recovery. A long, narrow outline, extensive tail cut-outs, and a fully sharp tuck line work together to reduce drag, accelerate fast, and release instantly - helping you fly with smaller foils and stay efficient in the lightest wind.

Performance Highlights

  • Instant release from a fully sharp tuck line
  • Fast acceleration from the long, narrow outline and smooth scoop rocker
  • Efficient take-offs and quick recovery thanks to extensive tail cut-outs
  • Higher top speed & better upwind from slightly raised tail rocker
  • Race-ready tuning with multiple footstrap positions, long tracks and foil scale

Wind Range Guidance

Boards don’t have fixed wind ranges like wings, but the R-Winger is designed to maximise ground speed and reduce drag — which is exactly what helps in light wind and for high-speed riding.

Wind (knots) What it feels like Why the R-Winger helps Setup tip
10–16 Marginal / racing for ground speed Long/narrow outline + instant release helps you fly sooner and stay efficient through lulls Pair with a larger front wing; use foil scale to repeat your best setting
16–25 Powered freerace Low drag in flight + tail rocker lets you push harder for speed and upwind angle Consider smaller foil for speed; lock-in with straps for control
25+ High wind / high-speed control Aerodynamic nose deck shape and thin profile help reduce drag at speed Shorten your wing size; use straps and smaller foil for stability

Quick rule: Choose R-Winger if your priority is speed, upwind angle, and efficiency. If you want maximum forgiveness for learning jibes and casual cruising, a wider freeride board will feel calmer.

Design Profile

Everything about the R-Winger range is focused on generating ground speed for quick take-offs and rapid touchdown recovery. The tuck line is fully sharp all around for instant release. The smooth scoop rocker, long and narrow outline, and extensive tail cut-outs minimise drag and get you into flight with the smallest foil possible.

A slightly raised tail rocker makes it possible to push harder on the foil for better upwind angle and faster top speed. The nose deck shape is designed to be aerodynamic for minimal drag, even in strong winds.

The boards are built in a high-end CNC custom line with a full PVC sandwich construction (deck and bottom). JP removes the carrying handle for a cleaner take-off surface and further weight savings.

Features

  • Tuck line fully sharp all around for instant release
  • Smooth scoop rocker for efficient speed build
  • Extensive tail cut-outs to reduce drag and improve recovery
  • Slightly raised tail rocker for improved flight position and speed
  • Concave standing area for control and connection
  • No carrying handle for cleaner take-off surface and weight saving

Tech Details

Multiple Footstrap Positions
Strap options cover V-shape, centered and off-centered positions — ride the board in your preferred stance.
Long US Track Boxes
Long tracks with full deck-to-bottom blocks and reinforcements provide stability and leverage against foil forces.
Foil Scale
The printed scale helps you repeat your exact foil setting — useful for tuning speed vs lift in different wind strengths.
Tail Kick Pad
Supports the back foot when riding strapless, helping reduce wetted surface for easier take-off and confident turns.

FAQ

Is the R-Winger PRO only for racing?
It’s race-focused, but it also suits riders who simply want maximum speed, upwind angle and light-wind efficiency. If you like going fast, it delivers.
Why does the long, narrow shape help in light wind?
It builds ground speed efficiently with less drag, which helps you create lift and get flying sooner — especially when paired with an appropriate foil and wing size.
What do the tail cut-outs do?
They reduce wetted surface near the tail, improving release for take-off and helping the board recover faster when you touch down at speed.
Do I need to ride it with footstraps?
Straps are recommended for maximum control at speed and for racing, but you can ride strapless. The tail kick pad helps guide foot placement when strapless.
How do I choose between 65 / 80 / 95L?
Higher volume is easier for starts and lulls; lower volume feels more compact and reactive once flying. Send us your weight, skill level and typical wind range and we’ll recommend the best size.
